2011 Make Up Trends You Should Try Now

Make up can help to complete the look of any outfit, therefore make up trends change directly proportional with fashion trends. So let’s keep up with make up trend as you do with fashion. In 2011, fashion trends change rapidly, the make up trends had to evolve to match the new trends also, look through the fabulous 2011 make up trends to draw inspiration for your 2012 beauty look.

Nude make up

For 2011 make up trend, nude is extremely hot when come to something traditional. Nude makeup style definitely will never be out of the hot trends. Natural, fresh, easy and fast are not enough to define this style. Keeping your foundation natural and radiant is the most important requirement. Your foundation need to blend well with your complexion, you can use different shades of beige and other natural colors in order to get a flawless skin, then apply neutral eye shadow shade, mascara to make your eyes pop. Add a bit of blush to your cheekbones for more vivid look and nude lip-gloss or lipstick color to complete this classic look. For a more special event, you can go for a lighter shade of red.

Bold eyebrows

Inspired by the beauty of stars in the ’60, ’70, thin over-plucked eyebrows has stepped aside and thick, well defined eyebrows hit the runways. Thick brows help frame your face and help give you a bold look without a lot of makeup.

You can contour your eyebrows by a black pencil, make sure that your brows are well groomed, then line to perfection with a shadow brush. You can define the arch and the tail of the brow by adding more width to the arch and length to the tail.

For this make up style, keep the rest on your face as natural as possible and no mascara could be more perfect.

Orange eye shadow

Orange is something you expect to see on the lips, not necessarily on the eyes. But in spring/summer 2011, celebrities bring this amazing look to red-carpets, from warm autumnal orange eye shadow shade to acid orange mixed with a bit pink, designers made orange eye makeup the hottest color trend this year.

You can pair it with a purple liner or a bright amethyst eye shadow. Go easy with the lip and cheekbones color as color that is too strong will compete and complicate the look. Orange on the eyes is simply hot by itself. Remember to wear this look with an extra coat of mascara.

Vampy lips

The Fall/Winter 2011-2012 season is all about contradiction. Red lipstick has never been hotter. Along with nude make up trend, bold red lips makes classic make up style spread wider than ever with the typical tone such as red plum, coral… or everything from our fave orange and red lipstick shades to burgundy and dark purple ones.

Rock with your vampy lips, combine vampy nails to look more spotted but remember to keep the rest of your make up simple.

Red lips make a very strong statement, so to avoid looking campy, wear them with simple, classic haircuts, solid-colored clothing and unfussy accessories or you can end up look like a Joker.

Metallic eye shadow

Metallic eye shadows give you a more dramatic look, smudgy, sophisticated, and a little seductive. You can create a delicately gorgeous impact just by one sweep of color. Or go for a more intense layering of shades and create a striking glint across the lids.

Varicolored smokey eye

Smokey eye makeup is one of the hottest makeup trends through 2011. It seems that the smokey eye makeup will never loose its beauty and it’s no surprise why.The only thing here that changes in fall/ winter fashion show about smokey eyes is the eye shadow shade. One of the most favorite color options this season is the burnt orange hues which are flattering on all skin tones. Another is blue of fuchsia but it is a bit trickier to apply because it can bring out blue undertones in fair skin.

Bright eye make up with neon lights

Choosing to add a great amount of attention towards the eyes can be a great option especially during the evening. Adding bold eye shadow colors such as orange, pink, green, blue, can definitely help you enhance your gorgeous look.

This makeup style that once flourished with the image of the super stars like skinny supermodels Twiggy or Elizabeth Taylor. You know what, each change of eyebrows has a huge impact to your face. With thicker dark eyebrows, your face will look extremely more classical and sharply stronger.

Undeniably, bold eyebrows bring out a strong wild look than any other kinds of make-up.

This style os eyebrows just go well with nude color lips. Let’s attract more attention to your beautiful eyes.

Bold makeup is also a pretty picky trend. Actress Camilla Belle already has dark eyebrows, she often appears making it look darker, thicker, and of course, sexier.

Agyness Deyn often wear bold eyebrows, this makeup style helps strengthen the tomboy look of this supermodel significantly.

And of course, your eyes will look more gorgeous if bold eyebrows is accompanied with dark eyes make-up styles.

So, would you rock thick, black brows or should they remain with Cleopatra in her grave? If you choose to change your look significantly, we are willing to show you how.

For this fall collections, strong eyebrows hav become really strong, even thicker and darker than the spring collections. But we will help you get the more wearable look, because we are not on the runway.

First of all, you need to aware that going a few shades darker than your eyebrow shade is the hottest trend.  The trick is to use a shadow, not a pencil.  Draw your shadow line on with a soft, super thin brush and at the bottom line or edge of your eyebrows and eventually blend up to your brows.

If you’re affraid of having a too dark look may be not suitable, try colored mascara to reduce the severe outlook. The key for succes of this style is keeping the rest of your face color free. Keep the rest in the nude tone to highlight your eyebrows, make it the focal point of the whole look.

Bold eyebrows and colored eyelid combined with white eye liner can give you an extremely romantic look. Your colorful eyes make sure that your bold eyebrows will be noticed.

Strong, thick and perfectly defined eye brows definitely are one of the hottest trend of make up this fall and winter. If you are born having thick eyebrows, no need to be shy any more, this year is just the right time for you to shine. Just remember one important thing: big eyebrows don’t mean messy ungroomed brows, so you still need to shape them, and keep the stray hairs at bay by tweezing regularly. Be a trendy and fashionable girl.

How Courteney Stays Sexy

Volume gives a natural look.

To create Courteney Cox’s modern yet attainable look, stylist Brant Mayfield blows out her hair with a boar-bristle round brush and a bit of Phytovolume Actif Volumizing Spray or  Schwarzkopf Osis Air Pomade, which he says gives lift at the root without any stickiness. “Then, I wrap her hair around a clampless Enzo Milano 1-inch curling iron for piecey waves that translate into a natural surfer-girl look.”Peptides achieve a glowing complexion.

Courteney’s long-time aesthetician, Nerida Joy, cares for her thin, combination skin with products and treatments that infuse hydration and give flexibility. “Her skin requires massage and extractions, which help keep her pores clean and small,” says Joy. Peptides and mild retinols, both in professional treatments and at-home products, are essential, Joy says, for maintaining Courteney’s youthful and pretty skin.

Focused moves.

Celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson works out with Courteney about four times a week, concentrating on the butt and legs. “She has long, lean legs, so we do a lot of moves to keep the butt toned and the legs even longer,” says Anderson. Courteney also follows Anderson’s total body workout, the Tracy Anderson Method, to work and connect the entire body by exhausting the accessory muscles and moving the body in new and interesting ways. When it comes to diet, Anderson says that Courteney has done her Nutrition Boost and Menu Guide.

Must-Haves

Josie Maran Lipstick in Rumi Joon is a pale neutral shade, which Courteney is said to prefer ($20)

Clarisonic Skin Cleansing System is an essential for daily cleansing. ($195)

Weleda Calendula products are gentle enough to use on the entire body. ($7-$17)

“Courteney loves Cle De Peau cream compact foundation because it doesn’t cake and it layers well – I can layer cream and powder blush on top of it” – Elisa Marsh, Courteney’s Makeup Artist.
